Sauteed Mushrooms with a Garlic Sherry Sauce

1/4 c. butter

1 clove crushed garlic

1/4 c. dry sherry

8 oz. creminis mushrooms, thickly sliced

salt & pepper

Melt butter in large saute pan, add garlic and cook for 1 min.  Add sherry, mushrooms and salt & pepper.  Bring to a boil, turn down heat and simmer, stirring frequently for 8-10 minutes or until mushrooms are soft and sauce has thickened a little.  Serve over steak or chicken or serve as a side dish.
