1 large ripe avocado, peeled and sliced thinly lengthwise
1 clove garlic, peeled
red pepper flakes
Cut baguette into 1/2 in diagonal slices. Grill slices until lightly browned on each side. As they come off the heat, immediately rub with garlic clove. Lay 2-3 slices of avocado on each piece of baguette. Drizzles with olive oil, sprinkle with sea salt and a few red peper flakes.
Kid-friendly alternate recipe:
Reduce the amount of garlic that is rubbed on the baguette and leave out the red pepper flakes. You can ease them into the flavors over time. I’ve also added cooked, crumbled bacon and it was a big hit with everyone.
